MRI targeted prostate biopsies with the UroNav MRI Fusion Biopsy Technology
An important part of identifying and treating prostate cancer involves meeting with your doctor and getting examined. As men age, their risk for prostate cancer increases as is the need for targeted solutions for this cancer.
MRI targeted prostate biopsies is a new technology that allows doctors to combine ultrasound imaging with an MRI to look at areas in the prostate that are suspect for cancer. This technology advances the ability to screen for cancer in the prostate, but this technology isn't avaliable everywhere.
Dr Sukin is now performing this at the new Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. Dr Steven Sukin has provided world class urology care for The Woodlands and Houston areas for many years. He was voted by Texas Monthly as a SuperDoc for 2017.
MRI with DynaCad also improves a patient's diagnosis of prostate cancer and in many cases, it eliminates the need of repeat biopsies. This is a breakthrough in providing patients with the best urological care in the area.
Additionally, Dr Sukin is using the 4kscore system as well. The 4Kscore system allows doctors to better find agressive prostate cancers after biopsy.
